Rosehall Run 2007 Cuvee County Cabernet Franc - $18.95

Today it's a juicy red concoction from Rosehall Run in Prince Edward County - this one is perfect for slipping in the fridge (for an hour before opening) and sipping while watching the clouds roll by in the backyard.

Kawartha Country Wines 2008 Shiro Plum - $9.80

It's time to check out another fruit wine you just might enjoy - for those wondering, a Shiro plum is a Japanese variety ... if you want more info you'll have to ask winemaker John Rufa, because that's all I know.

By Chadsey’s Cairn 2008 Muscat - $21.80

I just spent the last 5 days up north, Pine Island near North Bay to be exact, and I had to keep asking myself "Where is Summer?" We had one day with about 3 hours in the 20's (that's about 70 for all my American readers) the rest was cool and breezy - which means no bugs, but very little sunshine. Had I had a bottle of this with me I would have been able to open summer with the simple pop of a cork.

Huff Estates 2007 First Frost Vidal - $18.95

Today, it's not all about a new wine - it's about a wine I've had before and one that if you have not tried you are really missing out on. I re-tasted this wine almost exactly a year later at this year's Terroir event in Prince Edward County ... and wow, I think it's getting better.
